What We Do

Our work is about finding and inspiring the philanthropist in everyone. We do this by:

Providing philanthropic strategy and grants management: Faces of Giving was established with the charitable mission to expand and encourage philanthropy in communities traditionally under-served by the sector and to allow all people to participate in this gratifying form of civic engagement. We will work with our clients—both institutions and individuals—to ensure their philanthropic activities reach these goals. We provide comprehensive advisory, research and administrative services to individuals, groups and foundations who seek assistance realizing a culturally competent philanthropic strategy.

Supporting groups of givers: We believe collective giving is an accessible and powerful way to participate in philanthropy. When groups of people come together around common values and goals, their giving is more strategic and has more impact. We have many years of experience providing knowledge and support to giving circles and the like, making giving together a joyful and rewarding experience for big and small donors in communities they define for themselves.

Making the sector smarter: Creating a culturally competent philanthropic community requires greater knowledge, awareness and conversation. We conduct and disseminate research that informs and further develops the field, and we undertake technical assistance, speaking and training projects to help develop the capacity of institutions and groups to realize culturally competent, inclusive programming.  Click here to see our latest research around engaging and networking high net worth people of color.

It is part of our mission to charge fees on a sliding scale, so please do not hesitate to reach out to us to see how you or your organization can join our effort to create a philanthropic sector that is reflective of our democracy.
